What is Smart Rate?

Smart Rate gives you a better exchange rate when you send money to Nepal using the Ria KyodaiApp.

 

How to get Smart Rate

  1. Register on the Ria KyodaiApp
    Create your account and start using the app.
  2. Top up your balance
    Add funds using your Ria Kyodai Smart Card.
  3. Send money to your recipient
    Make your remittance directly in the app using your balance.

That’s it!!

You will automatically get the Smart Rate. 

 

Important Notes

  • Available only for transfers to Nepal
  • Valid only when sending through the Ria KyodaiApp
  • Not applicable for transactions at counters or by staff
  • Due to exchange rate fluctuations, this cannot always be guaranteed to be better than ordinary rates.

Smart Rate

1. Eligibility

  • This scheme is available only to customers who are registered users of the Ria KyodaiApp.
  • Customers must complete registration and maintain an active account in the Ria KyodaiApp to participate.

2. Applicable Corridor

  • The Smart Rate applies exclusively to remittances sent from Japan to Nepal.
  • Remittances to other countries are not eligible for this scheme.

3. Usage Requirements

  • Customers must use the Ria KyodaiApp to initiate and complete the remittance transaction.
  • To qualify for the Smart Rate, the remittance must be sent directly by the customer via the Ria Kyodai App.
  • Transactions conducted at branches, counters, or via third parties are not eligible.

4. Funding Method

  • Customers must load funds (balance) into their Ria KyodaiApp account using the Kyodai Smart Card.
  • Only transactions funded through the Kyodai Smart Card balance are eligible for the Smart Rate.

5. Rate Application

  • The Smart Rate will be applied only when all conditions stated above are met.
  • The applicable exchange rate will be displayed within the RIa KyodaiApp at the time of the transaction.
  • Kyodai reserves the right to determine and update the Smart Rate at its discretion.

6. General Conditions

  • Kyodai reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this scheme at any time without prior notice.
  • Any misuse, abuse, or fraudulent activity may result in disqualification from the scheme.
  • All transactions are subject to Kyodai’s standard remittance terms, compliance checks, and applicable regulations.
